NZD/USD posts fourth weekly gain in a row

FXStreet (Córdoba) – NZD/USD rose modestly on Friday and consolidated weekly gains. The kiwi gained for the fourth week in a row against the US dollar, the first time to do so since mid-June as it continues to recover from multi-year lows.

On Friday price rose from 0.7520 and peaked at 0.7569; near the end of trading in Wall Street it was standing at 0.7560, 40 pips above the level it had a week ago. Yesterday the pair jumped to 0.7613, reaching the strongtes level in five weeks but then pulled back toward 0.7500.


NZD stronger


The New Zealand dollar was the best performer during the week among commodity currencies. NZD/CAD remained near 6-month highs while AUD/NZD is about to post the lowest weekly close on record.
