Chart

The EUR/USD remains in the 1.33-1.34 range, and oscillated around the middle, 1.3350 area during 2/19 – Presidents Day trading. It remains that a break below 1.33 would open up the 1.3255 support, as well as a rising trendline that goes back to July 2012 when the bullish trend started. A break below 1.3150 is likely needed to extend the bearish scenario beyond a correction against this bullish trend. To the upside, a push above 1.34 can neutralize the bearish outlook, but a push above 1.35 is probably needed before reviving the bullish outlook.

The GBP/USD openned the with a push to another low since the bear trend from the 1.6341 high. As noted previously, there is still more room until key support in the 1.5250-1.5260 area. If we get more consolidation, a break above the consolidation high, which is 1.5541 at the moment, could be a sign of a pullback. Otherwise, the focus remains to the downside to the 1.5250-1.5260 support area.

USD/JPY did not move much to start the week, but did edge up higher, pushing above the 94.00 handle. The focus remains toward the current 94.45 high and the 95.00, 2010-high. To the downside, a break below 92.00 remains the threshold before a topping formation is formed to suggest bearish correction.

Chart

The AUD/USD remains bearish with focus on the 1.0150-1.0165 support area. However the 2/19 price action puts the Aussie at a falling trendline, a break above which can neutralize the bearish outlook. A rally back above 1.0380 for example should turn AUD/USD from bearish to neutral, as it would keep it in the middle of a large range between 1.0150 and 1.06.

Support Levels: 1.0243 1.0258 1.0287

Resistance Levels: 1.0331 1.0346 1.0375
