The Canadian dollar dropped against the U.S. dollar and the Japanese yen in early Asian deals on Thursday.
The loonie touched 1.1188 against the greenback, a level untouched since July 2009.
The loonie fell to 91.26 versus the yen for the first time since April 2013.
If the loonie extends its bearish move, it may face support around 1.126 against the greenback and 90.00 against the yen.
