The EUR/USD heads towards US opening at fresh yearly lows, so far posted at 1.2761. The hourly chart shows price steady near the lows, with price well below a bearish 20 SMA and indicators in oversold territory. Recoveries so far stalled below 1.2800 level that attracts short term selling interest. In the 4 hours chart the pair maintains a strong bearish momentum that suggests further slides are yet to be seen, eyeing now 1.2660 past November monthly low. Corrective rallies should attract sellers up to 1.2880 resistance zone.

The GBP/USD eased to 1.5094 early Europe, mounted on dollar strength and UK disappointing current account numbers, str4ugglin now around the 1.5100 level. The hourly chart shows price below 20 SMA while indicators turned flat in oversold levels, as buying interest defends the 1.5100 mark. 4 hours chart maintain a strong bearish momentum, supporting more falls in the pair. With stops reported around 1.5090 immediate support, once below the pair should quickly accelerate towards the 1.5060 area, while once below this last, and approach to 1.5010/30 seems likely for today.

USD/JPY Current price: 94.21

Yen advances across the board as risk aversion dominates the board, with the USD/JPY barely above 94.10, daily low and 38.2% retracement of last years’ fall. The hourly chart shows moving averages heading lower above current price, with 100 SMA acting as dynamic resistance now around 94.60, and indicators heading lower in negative territory. In the 4 hours chart technical readings are also biased lower, with 93.50, this week low as next strong support.

AUD/USD: Current price: 1.0430

Aussie eases against the greenback, although the pair holds above the 1.0410 immediate short term support. Weighted by stocks and gold slides, the AUD/USD hourly chart shows selling interest easing, as hourly indicators aim higher from oversold readings although 1.0440 now caps the upside. As long as below this last recoveries will remain limited. In the 4 hours chart, bearish trend is gaining track as current candle opened below 20 SMA while indicators approach their midlines.
