NZ Dollar Slides Against Majors



The New Zealand dollar weakened against the other major currencies in the Asian session on Wednesday.


The NZ dollar fell to a 1-week low of 1.4527 against the euro, from yesterday’s closing value of 1.4499.


Pulling away from an early high of 88.83 against the yen, the kiwi slipped to a 6-day low of 88.56.


The kiwi, which ended yesterday’s deals at 1.0421 against the Australian dollar depreciated to a 5-day low of 1.0439.


Against the U.S. dollar, the kiwi edged down to 0.7299 from yesterday’s closing value of 0.7303.


If the kiwi extends its downtrend, it is likely to find support around 1.50 against the euro, 86.50 against the yen, 1.06 against the aussie and 0.70 against the greenback.
