The U.S. dollar climbed against its major counterparts in late Asian deals on Friday.
The greenback advanced to 110.68 against the yen for the first time since January 2008.
The greenback rose to 0.9594 against the franc, 1.2565 against the euro and 1.5972 against the pound.
The next possible upside target for the greenback lies around 0.975 against the franc, 1.25 against the euro, 1.59 against the pound and 112.00 against the yen.
