Quotes from Capital Economics:
- The more data we see on economic activity in March, the less reassured we are that the softness in the preceding three months was just a weather-related blip. After increasing by just 0.2% m/m in February, we forecast that the economy expanded by an even smaller 0.1% m/m in March.
- We expect economic growth (13.30 GMT) to have slowed from 2.9% annualised in Q4 to around 1.8% in Q1. While growth should be better in Q2, the improvement will probably only be marginal. Overall, we still forecast average annual GDP growth of 2.0% in 2014.
